born in switzerland, raised in the south of italy, chef in zurich,
california and the caribbean: 10 years between careers and continents
initiated a prolonged interest in combining travel with social
observation. one point of focus is not sufficient to capture the
multiple histories and  perspectives of my personal experiences. my
works document the hidden cultural diversity of my changing
surroundings.

to my eyes photography is an open revolving door, my universal
language, that inspires me to translate the challenges I need to
achieve equilibrium between diverse cultures.

photographic documentation erupts the imaginary walls that blind humans
from one another one culture from the other, it erases boundaries
between myself and my subjects: people, their architecture, music,
history, food hide stories, are the artefactual gateways that show me
how to search for the ancient roots of craftsmanship wherever i may
be.
